Dropbox

Did you ever create a file on your work computer and then want to do some work on it at home? Well, the days of burning CDs, emailing yourself a copy or copying to a flash drive are over, thanks to DropboxDropbox is both software and “cloud computing”. Dropbox allows you to access your files on multiple computers as well as online (the “cloud”). The free version gives you 2 G of storage space. It works on PCs, Macs and a variety of portable electronics, including the iPod Touch and iPhone. Changes you make in one location are automatically synced to the other locations (as long as you have an active internet connection). You can also share documents, photos, podcasts etc., via a hyperlink that you can provide to people in the public folder that Dropbox provides. I love this software, and it has become one of those bits of technology that I use daily.  In fact, I use it so much that I have just about run out of free storage space. Dropbox gives me a little more space for each person that hears about it through me, so, if you are thinking of trying it yourself, I’d love you to use this link.
